Are you being trained for the world you will inherit? On February 20th, from noon - 3:30pm, in Emerson Suite A, Ithaca College will be one of hundreds of host sites around the globe to simultaneously broadcast this interactive learning opportunity that will focus on global warming, climate change, and the built environment.
Rapidly accelerating climate change, which is now fueling dangerous regional and global events, will
require innovative mitigation and adaptation strategies and measures. Data from the U.S. Energy
Information Administration illustrates that buildings are responsible for almost half (48%) of all greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions annually; globally the percentage is even greater.
Seventy-six percent of all electricity generated in U.S. power plants goes to supply the ‘Building Sector’. Immediate action is essential if we are to avoid hazardous climate change.
