Are you planning on doing an unpaid internship in Washington DC this summer? Do you know that you can apply for a scholarship to help support your experience?

Applications are now being taken for the Washington D.C. Unpaid Internship Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded annually to a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in any one of the five schools or in the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies at Ithaca College.

The scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to a student who has an unpaid summer internship or one that only pays a transportation subsidy, in the Washington, DC, area. The internship may be credit bearing or not credit bearing. The recipient must be in good academic and judicial standing, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and demonstrate financial need. Confirmation of the offer and completion of the unpaid internship will be required.

Students interested in applying for this scholarship may obtain an application from the Office of Career Services. If you cannot stop by the office to pick up an application, please call (607) 274-3365 or email Careers@Ithaca.edu. The deadline for application is March 9, 2007.

This award is made possible through the generosity of many members of the National Capital Alumni Club.
