On Thursday, February 8 Girish Karnad’s “Hayavadana” will be read at the Handwerker Gallery by members of the Theatre and English Departments.

“Hayavadana” is a play of transposed heads that brings to the fore the relation of mind and body, foreign and native, and self and society in post-independence India. Thursday’s performance will be directed by senior theatre major Dan Stermer, and will begin at 6:30 p.m. All Handwerker events are free and open to the public. For further information contact Simrat Applebaum, Handwerker Gallery marketing intern, at simapple1@ithaca.edu.
