Current smokers who wish to reduce the number of cigarettes they smoke are being sought for a research study to test a new self-reward based psychological treatment for reducing some symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. Ithaca College students, staff, and faculty who are 18 or older are eligible to participate.

Participation will last three weeks and will entail one hour-long meeting with a researcher, followed by completion of brief self-report measures noting smoking frequency and emotional functioning.

This study may benefit you by enabling you to smoke fewer cigarettes while experiencing fewer and/or reduced symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.
