On behalf of President Williams, I am pleased to announce her selection of the 2007 summer reading.

Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress by Dai Sijie will serve as our community reading and support the 2007-08 First-Year theme, "the power of one." We cordially invite faculty and staff to indicate their interest in serving as first-year reading discussion leaders by sending an email to fitzgera@ithaca.edu. Your participation welcomes our incoming students to the Ithaca community and provides an opportunity for faculty and staff to demonstrate the pleasure of discussing a common reading.
