It is a parent's worst nightmare. Tom and Doris Smeltzer's college-aged daughter, Andrea, didn't call on Father's Day. She had been uncharacteristically out of touch for several days.

Frantic calls to friends and college administrators led the police to search for Andrea. When they found her she had died in her sleep of bulimia.

Hear Doris and Tom Smeltzer tell the story of Andrea's life - their talented, creative, beautiful daughter - and of her death. Learn about warning signs of eating disorders, triggers for disordered eating, and local resources for help.

This presentation is open to anyone who would like to learn more about eating disorders.
