Assistant professor of chemistry Scott Ulrich has written an invited review for the Wiley Encyclopedia of Chemical Biology entitled, "Chemistry and Roles of Protein Kinases and Phosphatases."

Protein kinases and phosphatases are a large family of enzymes that transmit information in cells to regulate cellular processes. The review focused on the structure and mechanisms of these enzymes as well as inhibitors, drugs, and chemical probes that have been developed to study them.
