Exciting changes are happening for the 2007-2008 school year! Dining Services will be introducing a new meal plan called Carte Blanche.

Carte Blanche will replace the existing twenty meal plan. Carte Blanche offers unlimited meals; participants can enter the resident dining facilities as many times a day as they want. In addition, the fourteen, ten, and seven meal plans will allow participants to eat any three meals per day. Previously, participants were limited to only eating within the same meal period once per day, meaning they would not be able to have a late breakfast and lunch. Continuous dining will remain available in all resident facilities, as well as Late Night dining at Towers Dining Hall. Additionally, participants will continue to receive three guest passes per semester.

Another exciting change is that each meal plan will receive up to an extra fifty dollars in bonus bucks per semester, breaking down like this: Carte Blanche - $100, fourteen - $180, and ten - $270. Bonus Bucks offer a tax free advantage on campus food purchases in resident and retail locations, including The Tower Club Restaurant.

In addition, the Fresh Food Market in Towers Dining Hall will continue to offer a variety of organic, sustainable, local, and naturally raised foods. All dining halls will continue to feature Green Mountain Fair Trade Coffee. Additional resident dining offerings include: a healthy portion and choice program, vegan menus, vegetarian menus, and the Kosher Kitchen.

These are just a few highlights of upcoming changes, look for more detailed information to follow. As always, please contact dining services with any questions at (607)274-1187 or send an e-mail to dine@ithaca.edu.
