The Human Resources Parnassus Group is pleased to announce release of the newest version of Employee Self-Service.
The most prominent changes you will notice are:
1. A clean, consistent look and feel between each available function within Self-Service.
2. Important messages such as field definitions are now embedded within the page.
3. On-line W-2 forms!
All Employee Self-Service documentation has been updated to reflect this new version and is available right on the Production log-in page under HR/Payroll Support Documents, Employee Self-Service User Manual. You can also access the documentation directly at the following location:
https://www.ithaca.edu/hr/tutor_docs/ESS/
We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that Employee Self-Service is designed for efficiency.
1. The on-line payslip allows you to see your pay information as early as two days before the actual pay date.
2. Your personal information within Parnassus should be maintained by you.
3. Effective dates in Employee Self-Service should be the event date, i.e., the date you got married, or the date you moved. The date you use may have an impact on effective dates for benefit changes.
4. If you are not able to complete an Employee Self-Service transaction, please be sure to cancel out of the transaction.
5. Employee Self-Service is a sustainable way of conducting business: No paper, no labor spent on folding, stuffing and delivering paper information.
6. The information available to you with Employee Self-Service is your on-line personnel file. Please be sure to protect the confidentiality of the information provided via Parnassus. Always log out, and if using a public machine, also close the browser down.
