The National Endowment of the Humanities (NEH) will require that applicants for fellowships apply electronically through the all-government portal Grants.gov.

Fellowship applicants will apply, as at present, individually rather than through the Sponsored Programs Office. However, there are several preliminary steps of registration that the professor/applicant must perform before submission, and those who prepare their materials on Macintoshes have one more step than those who use PCs.

Paul Hamill and Denise Vanderburgh of the Office of Academic Funding (4-1326) will be happy to assist in understanding the new procedure, if you require help after reviewing the process on NEH’s web site, http://www.neh.gov/grants/guidelines/fellowships.

We strongly suggest exploring the required procedures and registering early; we also suggest submitting a day early.
