Wanted: A loving home for a lonely $250 Best Buy Gift card. Roommates with a love of electronics and media a must. Does not have much luggage -- just a small chunk of plastic. Guaranteed to make your home more welcoming and useful. See information below for details.
Well, it is almost spring break and your surroundings are starting to look a bit drab. Tired of that old digital camera that only has 2 megapixels? How about that laptop that has served as a dinner tray because it only works during a lunar eclipse? Is your last new DVD "Barney Does Broadway?" Time to upgrade your gear!
The featured big raffle at the Bursar's Benefit Auction this year will be a $250 Best Buy Gift Card! Think what you could do with all that loot! The best news is that this card could find a home with YOU for just a small investment! Come to the bursar's office to buy tickets on the card for the low, low price of $2 per ticket or 3 for $5. What a deal! Your odds of winning are terrific! Don't say that we told you this, but we know that your roomate has just purchased 30 tickets and doesn't intend to share if one of those is the winning ticket. You know you can be the successful buyer -- what are you waiting for?
Electronics not your thing, but have a confirmed craving for chocolate? Whoa, momma -- wait till you see all the loot in this year's trademark chocolate basket! Avoiding sweets but not money? Let us guide you to the 50/50 raffle; the winner gets half of the cash and our benefit organizations get the other half! Tickets for the chocolate basket raffle are $2 each or 3 for $5, and the 50/50 raffle are $1 each or 15 for $10. Where else can you get such marvelous goodies for such a small investment?
Buy tickets for any or all of our raffles at the bursar's office or at one of our upcoming tables in the North Lobby (Campus Center), Textor, and the Campus Center Lobby. I'd think twice about spending all your money on spring break; save some for the auction and REALLY get good use of your money!
The Bursar's Benefit Auction will be held on Wednesday, March 28th in the Clark Lounge of the Campus Center. Silent auction will end at noon, and the live auction will go from 12:30 to 1:30, featuring the auctioneering duo of Sam and Duane (contrary to popular myth, they are not the folks who sang "Knock on Wood" in the 60s). See you there!
