Using WebCT to Help Manage Student Employees, Ithaca College is the overall winner of the 2006 category “Student-Employee Website” (http://www.siguccs.org/competitions/comp2006.htm) Communication Award by the Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on University and College Computing Services (SIGUCCS).

SIGUCCS sponsors the annual Communication Awards to recognize outstanding publications developed at college and university computing centers. ITS staff who were members of this team are project leaders Wendy Pearle and Beth Rugg, along with Kathy Barbieri, Dan Barrow, Rick Basha, Michelle Buttaccio, David Coleman, Will Crisp, Fred Estabrook, Drew Hammond, Pat Lomber, and Karen Sunderland.

Wendy and Beth presented their website at last fall’s SIGUCCS conference held in Edmonton, Alberta, and also presented a session on the College’s electronic portfolio (ePortfolio) application for students, which was very well received.
