Email - Reminder to Empty Trash Folder

ITS would like to remind everyone to periodically empty their email Trash folder.

Not only do messages in the Trash folder count against individual email quota, but our records show that a significant amount of disk space on the email servers is being used by apparently unwanted email messages. Please take a moment to empty your Trash folder if necessary:

  • Webmail - Click Purge next to the Trash folder
  • Thunderbird - Right-click the Trash folder and choose Empty Trash
  • Mac Mail - Go to the Mailbox menu and choose Erase Deleted Messages
