On Thursday, April 12th, the On the Verge reading series will present a reading of Tom Stoppard's play, ARCADIA, with a cast of students and faculty members.

Tom Stoppard's 1993 play has been described as "an intellectual mystery wrapped in a romance." The play moves back and forth between two centuries and explores such topics as the conflict between Classicism and Romanticism; the second law of thermodynamics; fractals and chaos theory; landscape architecture; and the wonders and mysteries of carnal embrace. The cast includes students and faculty members (including Jack Hrkach, Michael Twomey and Dan Breen), and the reading is directed by Claire Gleitman, from the department of English. It will take place on Thursday, April 12th, at 7 p.m. in Studio 3, the Dillingham Center.
