The Virginia Tech Alumni Association is asking for national participation in the Orange and Maroon Effect. They are requesting that everyone in the U.S. support the VT campus community by wearing orange and maroon on Friday April 20, 2007. Join millions of young people who will express their concern and intent to build stronger communities. Other institutions are encouraging campus communitites to honor those who died by contributing an act of service in their honor. This Friday, as part of the Celebration of Service, stop by the Mini-Service Stations in the North Foyer to pick up an Orange and Maroon ribbon - and write a supportive thought in a community journal that will be packaged and sent to Virginia Tech.
