The Ithaca College Symphony Orchestras will present the final concert of their 2006-07 season on Wednesday, April 25. The free concert begins at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall, and is conducted by Jeffery Meyer. The program will open with a recent work by Chen Yi “Ge Xu (Antiphony),” and continue with Penderecki’s powerful “Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima.” Jia Li Yang, who won the annual High School Piano Competition, will solo with the orchestra on the first movement of Beethoven’s third piano concerto. The concert will conclude with the towering second symphony by Jean Sibelius.
