In February of this year ITS announced the availability of iPrint, a web-based utility for printing to network printers. iPrint has proven to be very reliable and convenient for users who have already installed the software.

Windows
ITS is now planning to make the installation of iPrint more automated by using the Novell login process (faculty and staff users only) to deliver the software to college-owned Windows computers. Beginning on Tuesday, April 24th, upon successful login to Novell, the iPrint software will automatically install on any Windows computer that does not already have it.

Please see our guide for complete details of what will happen during the installation process, as well as instructions for re-enabling certain printer features (such as duplexing or optional paper trays).

Macintosh
iPrint is also ideal for Macintosh computers, though there is no process for installing it automatically. Faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to manually install iPrint using the instuctions in our guide.
