Based on faculty and student input during the 2006-2007 academic year, the library has revised its borrowing policies.

Beginning May 29, 2007:

•Faculty/Staff may renew books/scores up to 8 times.

•Students may borrow multimedia materials (except for those in the core collection or on reserve) for 3 days.

•Courtesy notices for books and scores will be emailed 7 days prior to the due date.

•The Interlibary Loan overdue fine rate is $5/day per item with a maximum fine of $50 to encourage the timely return of materials borrowed from other libraries.

•Faculty will no longer accrue overdue fines for reserves, ILL, or special permission items. However, accounts will be suspended until lost items are returned or the replacement fee is paid.

•Any account will be blocked when $200 in fines and fees has accrued in order to prompt patrons to return or pay for lost items. Blocks will be removed when items are returned, and/or fines are paid.

The library welcomes your input. Please use the TalkBack feature on the library's homepage. Your comments will be used when evaluating library policy for the 2008/2009 academic year.
