Over 27,000 Tabs Collected by Athletics and Recreation

During the 2006-2007 academic year the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports particiated in the Ronald McDonald Pick up the Tab program.

Over 27,000 (!!!) soda tabs were collected by varsity, club and recreational sports teams this year, in support of Syracuse's Ronald McDonald House Pick up the Tab program.

Recycling the tabs that are collected generates necessary income to assist in paying bills at the Ronald McDonald House.

Fun facts...the 27,000 tabs is....

Approximately 21 pounds
Approximately 2250 feet worth
Just under 1/2 mile worth

A great job done by all!

It is being considered. Right now there is not a collection point but I'd be happy to contact you at a later date with any details. Fruit can tabs, pet food can tabs as well as drinking can tabs are all acceptable.
