I am pleased to announce the appointment of Father Carsten Martensen, S.J. to the position of Catholic Chaplain. Father Carsten has eight years of experience as Director of Campus Ministry at Saint Peter’s College and has most recently completed a year-long sabbatical at the University of Notre Dame, focusing his studies on liturgy, worship and ecclesiology. His education background includes an M.S.Ed. in Counselor Education from Northern Illinois University, a M.Div. from Weston Jesuit School of Theology, and a B.A. in History from Marist College.

Father Carsten assumed his duties in mid-July. Please join me in welcoming Father Carsten to Ithaca!
