As a part of the Student Leadership Institute, Meg Nowak will present a free session, entitled "Six Pillars of Self-Esteem," on Thursday, September 27, from 12:10 to 1:05 p.m. in the Clark Lounge.
"It is your attitude toward life that will determine life's attitude toward you."
What is self-esteem, why is it so important, how do we raise the level of our self-esteem, and what is your role in influencing the self-esteem of others? This interactive presentation, based on Nathaniel Braden's book of the same name, will introduce you to six action-based principles that provide the foundation for developing positive self-esteem.
You will participate in exercises which explore personal awareness and effectiveness. This program will assist you in your role as a leader by giving you the foundation to foster self-esteem in yourself and the people around you. This session earns credit for the "Leading Self" Certificate.
The Student Leadership Institute is an ongoing series of free workshop sessions designed around topics in leadership and is intended for all Ithaca College students.
