SACL Has a New Look!

Contributed by Brian McAree on 09/05/07

Have you noticed anything different about the Student Affairs and Campus Life (SACL) website? This past week, we launched the first phase of a comprehensive plan to create not only a cohesive look for all of SACL, but also a cohesive presence on campus.

In conjunction with the Office of Marketing Communications (Marcom) and Information Technology Services (ITS), we have worked hard all summer on a major redesign and restructuring of our division website and many of our department and program websites, including:

• Campus Center Office
• Career Services
• Conference and Events Services
• Counseling Center
• First Year Experience
• Hammond Health Center
• Health Promotion Program
• ID Office
• Center for LGBT Education, Outreach and Services
• Multicultural Affairs
• New Student Programs
• Religious Communities
• Transfer Students

Marcom and ITS provided new tools, created by the College’s web team, to help our departments manage, maintain, and update their sites. The new look of the SACL sites is consistent with the College’s new website design and the College’s overall brand.

Phase II will involve site reconstruction on the more complex department sites (residential life and judicial affairs, center for student leadership and involvement, recreational sports, and public safety) and is expected to take the better part of the academic year. We are looking forward to rolling out Phase II – so stay tuned.

I would like to thank all those involved with making Phase I happen, including Benjamin Costello, Jake Daniel, Chris Gonzales, Doreen Hettich-Atkins, Joanne Hindman, Laurie Ward, and John White; and everyone in SACL who have worked hard to update their sites in the new look, especially: Melinda Butler, Jennifer Casillas, Kim Conrad, Sybil Conrad, Meredith Ellis, Michael Faber, John Fracchia, Fernando Gualtieri, Deb Harper, Terri Hradisky, Terry Martinez, Lis Maurer, and Mary Anne Steinmetz.
