The Park School of Communications and Information Technology Services are offering a series of iLife workshops for students who purchased their MacBook Pro under the Park laptop initiative.

These workshops will take place in Park 220 over the next few weeks. To participate, all you need to do is show up with your laptop. The workshops and times for this week are below.

Tuesday 9/11 from 12:10-1 pm: Picture IT – Photos: In this workshop, you will learn how to use Photobooth to apply different effects to pictures that are taken through the webcam. You will use basic editing techniques to alter photos and learn how to create photo albums. Finally, you will create slideshows to proudly display all the pictures that you’ve acquired and enhanced through this training.

Wednesday 9/12 7-8 pm: Produce IT - Movies: We will be learning about creating movies and using audio and visual editing techniques using the iSight camera, iMovie and iDVD. You will learn how to export videos into iDVD so you can manage the videos easily and efficiently.

Wednesday 9/12 8-9 pm: Broadcast IT - Podcasts: This workshop focuses on the creation and distribution of podcasts. We will show you how to create audio, music and video tracks and combine them together to create a lively and entertaining podcast!

Thursday 9/13 12:10-1 pm: Produce IT - Movies: See above description.

Seats are available on a first come first serve basis and limited to 15 people. Please make sure you bring your laptop running Mac OS 10.4
