Steve Mauk Publishes Article/CD on Music of Dana Wilson

Professor of music performance Steve Mauk published a feature article and CD in the September/October issue of the Saxophone Journal. The article discusses a composition for unaccompanied alto saxophone, entitled "We Sing to Each Other," by Dana Wilson, professor of music theory, history, and composition at IC.

Included in the article is biographical information about Wilson and an analysis of his piece. The accompanying CD includes a performance of the work by Mauk and master class comments about ways to prepare this piece for performance. Wilson dedicated this composition to Mauk and former associate dean of music Jamal Rossi.
