All IC students are encouraged to enter the Annual Perialas Prize in Persuasive Speaking.

The topic of the Perialas Prize this year is: "Immigration: Is the Melting Pot Boiling Over?" The contest requires students develop and extemporaneously present an eight-to-ten-minute speech on the topic.

The preliminary presentation of the speech is Monday, October 15. At that time a team of professors will select the three best speeches to be presented at a public event on the evening of October 25. It is at the public event that the Prize in Excellence will be awarded.
