Assistant professor Stephen Sweet's and Karen Grace-Martin's book, Data Analysis with SPSS: A First Course in Applied Statistics (3rd edition), has been accepted for publication with Allyn & Bacon.
This book teaches
students the skills to analyze data as they learn to use a professional
statistics program. Included with the book are two data sets which
contain over 200 variables that indicate the attitudes and behaviors of
individuals, as well as the structure of American society.
This book
opens opportunities for students to not only learn statistics, but also
to apply their statistical skills to research studies of their own
design. The book will be published in December 2007.
