Oboe and English Horn Recital

Contributed by Erik Kibelsbeck on 09/28/07

Doubling as oboist and English horn player, Paige Morgan will present a free recital at 8:15 on Thursday, October 4, in the Hockett Family Recital Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music. An associate professor of music performance in the School of Music, Morgan will be joined by pianist Kathy Hansen for this performance.

The program includes an arrangement of Ravel's "Le Tombeau de Couperin," as well as music by Pasculli, Hindemith, and Arnold. Besides teaching at Ithaca College, Morgan is on the faculty of the Brevard Summer Music Festival and plays with Ensemble X. She has been the principal oboist of the Charlottesville Symphony and the Midland/Odessa Symphony, and has performed with the Richmond Symphony and various orchestras in New York State.
