On October 11 at 2:00 p.m., Ithaca College will host a National Wildlife Federation Campus Ecology teleconference titled "Campus Climate Action Plans: Steps Toward a Climate-Friendly Campus."
This teleconference will be held in Center for Health Sciences Room 214-1. Please email mbrown@ithaca.edu to advise your interest in attending so sufficient seating and handouts can be available.
The Greener Campus Teleconference Series III: Confronting Global Warming 2007-2008 gives NWF Campus Ecology members the opportunity to hear from leading practitioners in the field on conservation and sustainability topics and to provide a forum for questions and discussion. Each teleconference features three to four speakers and provides a question and answer session to encourage discussion among the participants and speakers.
This 90-minute teleconference on “Climate Action Plans” will feature:
Jillian Buckholz from California State University at Chico
Jack Byrne from Middlebury College
Praween Dayananda from National Wildlife Federation
Jenn Andrews from Clean Air - Cool Planet
Note: CA-CP is the greenhouse gas emissions inventory tool Ithaca College has been using to track our own institutional “carbon impact”.
A Powerpoint presentation with case studies, resources, and contact information will be made available in handout form during the teleconference. If you are unable to attend, a recording and podcast will be made available later on the Campus Ecology website: http://www.nwf.org/campusEcology/resources/teleconferences.cfm
