For Ithaca College staff or faculty members who completed the GE Corporate Payment Services procurement and/or travel card online application process and had their application approved before October 5, you may have already received your travel cards or you will be receiving them by early this week. (Previously we stated that all cards would be mailed directly to cardholder campus addresses.)
Instead, travel cards will still be mailed to cardholder campus addresses, but for cardholders who applied during the initial enrollment period, procurement cards will be mailed directly to the Accounts Payable office and then distributed to your campus address.
Cardholders who enrolled after October 5 will receive procurement and travel cards directly from GE Corporate Payment Services at their campus address.
Please check new cards to be sure that your name is correct. Cardholders should contact Ann Martin in Accounts Payable (274-3808) for procurement cards or Tami Hastings in Travel Services (274-1480) for travel cards if a card is not correct. Additionally, if cardholders who applied (and the application was approved) during the September 17-October 4 initial enrollment period have not received their new cards, they should also contact Accounts Payable or Travel Services.
Activating the new cards requires cardholders to call a toll-free number. The automated system will ask for either your new 16-digit card number or your Social Security number; enter your 16-digit card number. Then it will ask for your IC employee ID number.
Cards issued by Ithaca College's previous card provider, Elan Financial Services, will be deactivated as of October 26.
To apply for a GE Corporate Payment Services procurement card and/or travel card, please read specific instructions on how to apply. Card applications typically take 7-10 business days to process.
Managers should review cardholders and usage within their areas before approving new card applications. All applications will go through manager approval in addition to Accounts Payable or Travel Services' approval.
As a resource to use in determining who should have travel or procurement cards, we have created basic guidelines for both the travel and procurement card programs:
