Chris Sperry, Project Look Sharp's director of curriculum and staff development, gave the keynote address and a workshop at the fourth annual Best Practices in Teaching and Counseling at Hunt Union, SUNY College at Oneonta, on Friday, October 19.

The title of both the keynote and the workshop was "Democracy and the New Media: Literacy for the 21st Century." Chris Sperry discussed average daily teenage media use and referenced Generation M: Media in the Lives of 8- to 18-Year-Olds (2005 Kaiser Family Foundation study), along with other resources including recent curriculum materials from Project Look Sharp.
