An exhibition of photographs from IC senior Michelle Diemer's summer 2007 trip to Gambia, West Africa, will take place Thursday, December 6, at 6:30 p.m. in Park 220.
Michelle traveled to Gambia with Operation Crossroads Africa, an organization created to increase understanding between North Americans and Africans through shared working experiences at the grassroots level. While in Gambia, Michelle helped in the building of a community library.
The exhibition is being held in conjunction with an event to raise money to send books to the library. The event, which will feature live Gambian music, free food, and an information session on the scholarship that helped send Michelle to Africa, is being held in the Park Lobby at 6:30 p.m.
