The Occupational Therapy Department invites the college community to join us in wishing Barbara Hansen, Clinical Assistant Professor and Fieldwork Coordinator of Occupational Therapy, a wonderful retirement!
A farewell reception will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13th from 4:00-6:00 pm in the McDonald Lounge in the Campus Center. We hope that all of you who have worked with Barbara over her years with Ithaca College will stop by to share your best wishes wit her.
Barbara joined the department in 1996 to develop the fieldwork component of the Occupational Therapy Program. She worked with the program chair to recruit faculty for the program, and was instrumental in the program’s successful initial accreditation.
Barbara has arranged a minimum of six different fieldwork placements for each of over 200 students during her tenure in the department. She has forged strong relationships with many people in the Ithaca College community, including the I2C2 group of fieldwork educators from the departments of Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology and Audiology, and Therapeutic Recreation.
We wish her a happy and rewarding retirement!
