Ithaca College

The Bookstore recently advised us that they have added a special new item to the IC imprint items they sell: a line of pens with "Ithaca College" printed on the barrel and the words "Environmentally Friendly" and the recycling symbol imprinted on the clip.

Called the Enviro Pen©, this new writing implement is 81.9% compostable, or biodegradable, because it is made from organic materials (natural plant fibers), not petroleum-based plastics. The manufacturer, Supermatic, states that "for every one million Enviro pens produced, 4,490 gallons of oil are not used and 65,200 pounds of carbon dioxide are not released into the atmosphere."

These new college imprint pens join a wide selection of other recycled-content products that are sold in our College Bookstore, including Recycled Greetings™ cards, and recycled-content notebooks and filler paper.

Now that's really something to write home about!
