Before the winter break I wanted to provide a very quick update on the work of the Presidential Search Committee. The committee met last week to prepare for the review of applicant materials. As you know, the ad for the position indicated that screening of applicants would begin following December 15 and continue until the position is filled. If you are still interested in submitting a nomination(s), you may still do so by sending the nominees directly to Jean Dowdall and Lucy Leske at the following email address: ithaca@wittkieffer.com.
Based upon the report provided by our search consultants during our meeting last week, I am pleased to report that the position of president of Ithaca College is garnering interest at the national level, and the pool of applicants is growing daily.
The search committee is prepared to begin the next step of screening applications and will be engaged in this ongoing work over the winter break period. At this time, we believe we are still on schedule for finalist visits to the campus at the end of March.
I know that the College will be closed for a ten-day period beginning at the close of business on Friday. I wish all of you a relaxing time with family and friends.
