Fall 2008 Housing Selection

Contributed by Linda Koenig on 01/28/08

The Housing Selection process for 2008-2009 will be done entirely through HomerConnect. Priority for housing selection will be based on semesters completed, not credits earned.

Log in to HomerConnect today to verify that the number of semesters you have completed is accurate, create a profile and complete applications for any learning communities you may be interested in. Contact the Office of Residential Life immediately at housing@ithaca.edu if your semester standing is not correct.

Students must create their profile and any learning community applications no later than February 7, 2008.

The Off-Campus Application and Approval process for students who have completed less than 5 semesters (through Fall 2007) began on January 22, 2008. Please review Ithaca College’s residency policy at https://www.ithaca.edu/reslife/rl_guide/residencypolicy.htm

Residential Life would also like to highlight its new specialty housing option for fall 2008. A pilot of a gender neutral housing community will be offered on the odd numbered side of the second floor in Eastman Hall. Students electing to live in gender neutral housing will be able to live with the roommate of their choice – regardless of their gender. Additionally, the bathroom on the floor will also be gender neutral. The bathroom will be renovated over the summer to create greater visual privacy for all students using the facility. Applications for this community can be picked up today from the Office of Residential Life.

To be sure that you have all of the necessary and important information on dates and deadlines for both the selection and off-campus processes go to www.ithaca.edu/reslife/Dates.html.
