Phoebe Constantinou, assistant professor of health promotion and physical education, recently published an article entitled, "Heightening Our Awareness of Gender Stereotypes," in the January/February 2008 issue of Strategies: A Journal for Physical and Sport Educators.

The article suggests strategies to limit some stereotypes taking place in the gymnasium, and claims that gender bias and stereotypes still impact all students' lives throughout all educational levels.
