The Handwerker Gallery's Tuesday Salon has now moved to Wednesday!

The Wednesday Salon is a Handwerker Gallery program aimed at providing students, faculty, staff, and members of the community a forum outside of a classroom setting for intellectual discussion and debate. Topics are selected by a guest discussant, who provides a 10-minute introduction and moderates the ensuing conversation.

February's salon will feature Billie Dawn Greenblatt '10, an anthropology and sociology major, moderating an open forum discussion about race, racism, and our own prejudices. One step towards dealing with issues of race is to get them out in the open and truly discuss them. Greenblatt asks that you come ready to discuss the real issues without any censorship.

The event will take place on Wednesday, February 6, at 4:00 p.m. at the Handwerker.

For further information, please contact Rebecca Plante, Wednesday Salon codirector, at rplante@ithaca.edu or Cheryl Kramer, Handwerker Gallery director, at ckramer@ithaca.edu. All Handwerker Gallery events are free and open to the public.
