Faculty pianist Jennifer Hayghe will present a free recital on Sunday, February 10, at 4:00 p.m. in the Hockett Family Recital Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music at Ithaca College. The program features Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition," along with music by Debussy; Bach as arranged by Busoni; and Schubert songs as arranged by Liszt for solo piano.

"All the works on the program are based on outside influences," Hayghe explained. "For instance, the three works by Debussy were variously inspired by a postcard of the gates of the Alhambra, a symbolist poem, and the weather. And each section of the Mussorgsky represents a different painting."
