Ithaca College

Seven students in the Department of Economics participated in the College Fed Challenge, held at the Federal Reserve Bank in Buffalo: Ha Phuong Phan, Jack Drew, Lauren Hudak, Ivan Govedarov, Snigdha Dutt, Ryan Bailey, and Evan Palmer.

The regional competition involves a presentation of current economic conditions with a recommendation to the Federal Reserve regarding monetary policy. There is also a Q&A session led by a panel of judges comprised of economics professionals and Fed officials.

Ithaca College placed third behind SUNY Geneseo and University of Binghamton, two schools that had larger and more experienced teams. The IC team was coached by associate professors Patrick Meister and Roger Hinderliter.
