Faculty tenor Carl Johengen will present a free lecture-recital on Monday, February 18, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hockett Family Recital Hall at Ithaca College. Pianist Margaret Reitz will collaborate on a program entitled, "Francesco Borosini: First among Tenors."

The program will be a career study of the early 18th-century tenor who starred in operas by Handel, Conti, Caldara, Gasparini, and many others.

Borosini's remarkable vocal range and acting talent made him the first operatic tenor whose fame could compete with that of the castrati and sopranos of his day.
