The National Black Justice Coalition, a civil rights organization, is running short daily profiles on significant black LGBT people who are making a difference in the world. One profile is published each day for the entirety of February in honor of Black History Month. The profiles can be found at the Coalition homepage, www.nbjcoalition.org.

The profiles are listed in the menu on the right side of the homepage. You can also choose to join the news update e-mail list by selecting the link at the top of any profile page. If you join the NJBC e-mail list, you'll receive the profiles daily, along with other news stories published on the website.

Among the people highlighted this month include Mandy Carter, Marcellas Reynolds, Dr. Kofi Adoma, Kai Wright, Regina Shavers, Elder Joseph W. Tolton, Rev. Irene Monroe, Dr. Ian C. Barrett, and Dr. Horace L. Griffin.

The National Black Justice Coalition is a civil rights organization dedicated to empowering black, same-gender-loving, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. The coalition works with our communities and our allies for social justice, equality, and an end to racism and homophobia.
