Are there lab or e-classroom computers and network printers in your area scheduled for replacement this summer under the Technology Renewal Program?
ITS will be replacing computers and network printers in labs and eClassrooms that are designated cycle "A" (for computers) and cycle "3" (for printers).
Each computer or printer in the renewal program has an identifying asset tag listing its replacement cycle. In addition, complete information for each computer and network printer, including specific location and replacement configuration information, is available at www.ithaca.edu/computing/getit. If your lab is administered by ITS, look under the Web, Systems and Departmental Services department.
If asset information needs to be updated (for example, it was moved to a different room or now has a different guardian), please submit a change request for that asset, using the 'modify assets' links provided on the web site, and we'll take care of updating the record.
Starting this summer, ITS will begin a 3-year cycle of monitor replacement. The exact specifications of the new monitors are not known at this time; however, we do expect them to be at least 17” LCDs. One monitor will be replaced per tower computer (iMacs and laptops are excluded from monitor replacement).
We will be contacting lab and e-classroom coordinators over the next few weeks with more information.
