John Krout, director of the Gerontology Institute, and Peggy McKernan, research analyst with the Office of Institutional Research and a former institute employee, recently learned that one of their papers was honored by the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE). The David A. Peterson Award winners were announced at the organization's annual conference which was held in Baltimore in February.

The paper, "The Impact of Gerontology Inclusion on 12th Grade Student Perceptions of Aging, Older Adults, and Working with Elders," (Gerontology and Geriatric Education, volume 27, number 4, 2007) received an honorable mention in the category of Best Paper.
