Submitted on behalf of Tanya R. Saunders, assistant provost/dean of interdisciplinary and international studies

On behalf of the Office of International Programs and the Ithaca College London Center, I am pleased to announce the 2008-09 London Faculty Sabbatical recipients.

The review committee has recommended Fahri Unsal, professor of marketing and international business, for the fall 2008 semester in London. Professor Unsal proposes to teach a 200-level course on European business.

For the spring 2009 London sabbatical, the review committee has recommended Michael Haaf, associate professor of chemistry. Professor Haaf proposes to teach a course meeting the 2a designation in the H&S general education program. His course, the Chemistry of Everyday Things, will consider art, food, beer, warfare, and the environment -- that is, chemistry in our lives. Haaf will also pursue research in cooperation with Imperial College, London.

I congratulate Professors Haaf and Unsal and thank them for their interest in the London Center.
