Emergency Response Guide

Contributed by William Ferguson on 03/17/08

The Office of Public Safety, as part of the Campus Emergency Response Team (CERT), has prepared an Emergency Response Guide for students, faculty, and staff to follow in emergency situations.

College campuses are not immune to serious or violent crime, weather-related emergencies, or hazardous-material incidents. With the new Emergency Notification System (ENS) in place, it is important that when emergency notifications are transmitted, members of the campus community have information resources available on how to appropriately respond during an emergency.

The Office of Public Safety, as part of the Campus Emergency Response Team (CERT), has prepared an Emergency Response Guide for students, faculty, and staff to follow in emergency situations. This guide will be distributed shortly to faculty and staff via campus mail. Resident students will receive a copy of the guide from the residence life staff. Off-campus students can pick up a copy of the guide at the Campus Center information desk.

It is recommended that you become familiar with this information and keep this guide conveniently located for quick reference.

As always, please report all on-campus emergencies, suspicious activities, or criminal offenses to the Office of Public Safety by calling 911 from any Ithaca College campus phone, or call 274-3333. Any of the exterior blue light telephones or interior emergency telephones may also be used.
