Emily Clark, a senior psychology major, has received a Psi Chi Regional Research Award. Psi Chi is the national honor society in psychology, and Emily has been a member since 2007.

The award was for presenting the poster, "Discomfort with Ambiguity and Endorsement of Entity Theory," at the Eastern Psychological Association Convention in Boston on March 15, 2008.

The students who authored and presented the poster were current members of Professor Leigh Ann Vaughn's Social Judgment Research Team, which also includes Tanesia Harris, Ellen Gagne, Rebecca Meltzer, Rebecca Ramirez, Shamika Jackson, Gregory Spirer, Melissa Ball, and Audrey Harkness. Additional authors of the poster were Melahat Ozses, Elizabeth June, and Lisa Schlessinger, who were students in Professor Vaughn's research team last semester.

The Eastern Psychological Association Conference is a professional meeting that draws attendees and presenters from colleges and universities across the northeastern United States and from several foreign countries. The students were fully supported by an H&S Educational Fund Grant of $1,000 awarded to Leigh Ann Vaughn.
