Ithaca Dining Services was selected to present at the North Atlantic 2008 Regional SCUP (Society for College and University Planning) conference held at Yale University, March 12-14.

The theme of this year's conference was "Campus Community World: New Initiatives, New Directions, New Relationships"

The presentation reviewed the history of sustainability efforts at Ithaca College and discussed how to build a strong business case for integration of sustainability into dining operations. Participants discovered how Ithaca College Dining Services (Sodexho) took a proactive approach in their rebranding of "Sustainable. Healthy. Fresh." and met all financial objectives.

"Integrating Sustainability into Dining Operations" was presented by Jeff Scott, director of dining services; Julie Whitten, marketing manager; and Marian Brown, special assistant to the provost.
