The Ithaca Wind Quintet will collaborate with mezzo-soprano Jennifer Kay and pianist Jairo Geronymo in an upcoming free concert on Thursday, April 3, at 8:15 p.m. in the Hockett Family Recital Hall. Kay will be featured on Schafer's "Minnelider" and Geronymo on a sextet by Mignone.
The program will be rounded out by an arrangement of Ravel's "Le Tombeau de Couperin" and a work entitled "Shout Chorus."
The members of the Ithaca Wind Quintet are: Wendy Mehne, flute; Paige Morgan, oboe; Michael Galván, clarinet; Lee Romm, bassoon; and Alex Shuhan, horn. They all teach music performance at the Ithaca College School of Music.
