On Friday, April 25, the campus and community will unite for a Legacy of Service celebration in honor of the years of service that President Peggy R. Williams has given not only to the Ithaca College community, but to our neighbors and community at large.
On her inauguration day, we participated in the first Day of Service which, as campus volunteerism grew, evolved into the Celebration of Service. On Friday, April 25, we will once again come together through service to celebrate and honor President Williams on the occasion of her retirement.
You can participate in Legacy of Service in a number of ways:
- Volunteer at the Longview Playground Build or the South Hill Clean Up. Sign up at https://www.ithaca.edu/legacy/service/.
- Visit the tent on the Campus Center Quad from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to participate in a stand-up service project, or browse through displays from various campus service organizations.
- Encourage your organization or department to participate in the Presents for Peggy program -- pick an item off of a wish list and donate it in lieu of a gift.
- Come to the celebration honoring the legacy of service that President Williams has created. Be entertained as special tribute performances kick off the formal retirement reception, which will include the presentation of the Presents for Peggy.
