"Friendship is Canceled: Ethos and Ethics of Documentary Films," features John Scott, assistant professor of television and radio. The final colloquium is on Thursday, April 3, 12:10-1:00 p.m., in the Cayuga Lake room of the Campus Center.

John Scott made a feature-length video documentary on his friend John Stiles, called Scouts Are Canceled -- and found out one day after its debut at the Hot Docs Documentary Film Festival in Toronto that the friendship might be over. This talk reveals and explores some of the ethical dilemmas common to the video documentary.
